St. Joseph School is a Catholic learning community for Preschool through Grade 8 that is an integrated part of the larger faith based St. Joseph Parish community. We are dedicated to proclaiming the love of God as found in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Our school seeks to provide a quality Catholic education that meets the academic and spiritual needs of our students. All children will learn and grow in a faith-based environment that is nurturing, safe, and encouraging.

Our school environment fosters love of God, respect for oneself and others, compassion, justice, and service. Learning experiences challenge students to grow in understanding and appreciating their human worth, to take responsibility for their own learning and development, and to care for the world in which they live. The school encourages students to develop responsibility towards themselves and others and fosters respect for all persons and the world around us. Guidance in making good choices based on Catholic values is integrated throughout the curriculum.

It takes a village….

Family involvement is extremely essential to the learning process. With parents as our partners, we ask you to participate in our family and student-based events.

Two active entities in our school are our office of Advancement and our Parent-Teacher Organization.

Tracy Travers is our Director of Advancement and her role includes enrollment, publicity, fundraising and marketing. Her office is across from the gym and she is always looking for support, fundraising ideas, and volunteers. Connect with her at ttravers@sjsf.dfrcs.org

The Saint Joseph School PTO is an organization of parents, teachers, grandparents and other individuals committed to supporting Saint Joseph School in becoming the best it can be. This will include assisting school personnel in supporting academic excellence as well as promoting the spiritual, physical and personal development of each student in a Catholic environment.

The PTO accomplishes its mission by encouraging volunteerism and raising funds to provide enrichment opportunities that support the spiritual and academic mission of the school. Examples of the PTO’s involvement include the purchase of educational materials and equipment such as library books, science equipment and physical education materials. The PTO also sponsors educational field trips and other enrichment programs.

PTO meetings are held once a month beginning in September. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate at all meetings. We look forward to your involvement and encourage your participation. Together, we will accomplish great things!
