Take Home Tuesday (December 20, 2011)

Welcome to the Take Home Tuesday. This week’s notifications include Weekly Reminders and List of Calendar Winners.

Reminders

  • Students for the Homeless: we will be collecting Men’s Size Gloves to be donated to the homeless shelter. Gloves will be picked up on Thursday, January 19th.
  • National Junior Honor Society Service Projects: student members of our NJHS are holding a Holiday Pet Contest, Dress  your pet in their favorite holiday decor/costume and submit their picture with a donation of $1.00 and your pet could win some tasty treats.  All proceeds will be donated to the Fairhaven Animal Shelter. All entries must be submitted by January 13th. Also, the students will be collecting used cell phones to be recycled. There will be a collection box in the front foyer of the school.
  • Extended Care Parents: due to the Christmas Vacation break beginning Thursday, December 22nd, we are asking that the Extended Care balance be Paid in Full by no later than Friday, December 16th. December 19th, 20th and 21st balances must be paid daily.
  • 1/2 Day: there will be a 1/2 day on Thursday, December 22nd. DISMISSAL IS AT NOON. No lunch will be served. There also will be NO EXTENDED CARE.
  • Christmas Vacation: starts on Friday, December 23rd. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.
  • Stop & Shop A+ Program: Please remember to re-register for the A+ Program that Stop & Shop is offering. All you have to do is log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register on line or call 1-877-275-2758 to register your card. Saint Joseph School ID# 06183. If you have any questions or you would like us to register your card please contact Liz at 508-996-1983.
  • Got Books: please remember to donate your used books to the Got Books Program. Just drop off used books in the Got Books container in the Staff Parking Lot and the school will benefit.
  • Labels for Education: Please keep sending in your Campbell’s Labels.
  • Box Tops: Please keep sending in your Box Tops.
  • Target: Please remember to enroll in the Target Program. Target will donate 1% of your purchases to Saint Joseph School when you use your rewards card (REDcard) at their retail or online stores. Check our website for instruction how to register.

Reminders

  • Christmas Programs: for Grades 1 - 5 will be on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 p.m.
  • December Birthday Non-Uniform Day: is Friday, December 9th for all those students whose birthday is in December.
  • P.T.O. Meeting: will be on Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.

Welcome to the Take Home Tuesday. This week’s notifications include Weekly Reminders, List of Calendar Winners and Breakfast with Santa Ticket Order Form.

Reminders

  • Picture Re-Take: will be on Wednesday, December 7th. In order to re-take pictures, you must return your previous pictures, or if you absent during the 1st picture day, please bring in your order from. If you do not have an order form there are extra forms available in the office. Please keep in mind even if you are not purchasing pictures all students are required to take a picture for the yearbook. This is a Non-Uniform Day for only those students who will be taking pictures.
  • Bake Sale: Ms. Day’s Pre-School Class will be having their Bake Sale on Wednesday, December 7th during all lunches.
  • Immaculate Conception Mass: will be on Thursday, December 8th at 9:00 a.m. Dress Uniform Mandatory.
  • Christmas Programs: due to limited seating capacity in the auditorium the Christmas Program has been split into 2 days. Band, Dance, Glee Club, Pre-School and Kindergarten will be on Thursday, December 8th at 6:00 p.m. and Grades 1 - 5 will be performing on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 p.m.

  • Calendar Raffle Non-Uniform Week: will be December 12th - December 16th for only the students who turned in the $200.00 of calendar slips or who had the $200.00 applied to the tuition at the beginning of the year. All teachers have a list of student names and will inform the students who have qualified.
  • Southern Mass Credit Union School Savings Day: will be on Tuesday, December 13th.

Reminders

  • Raffle Calendars: Good Luck to all the families who participated in the Calendar Raffle. A list of winners will be e-mailed weekly.
  • PTO Parents’ Night Out: will be on Saturday, December 3rd, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.

  • Report Cards: are being sent home today. Please make sure that the bottom is signed and returned to the teacher ASAP.
  • Raffle Calendars: the calendar slips and money deadline has been extended to Wednesday, November 23rd. Please keep in mind that only the students who turn in the $200.00 of calendar slips or who had the 200.00 applied to the tuition at the beginning of the year will be qualified for the Non-Uniform week.
  • 1/2 Day: there will be a 1/2 day on Wednesday, November 23rd. DISMISSAL IS AT NOON. There also will be NO EXTENDED CARE.
  • Thanksgiving Break: there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th.
