Welcome to the Take Home Tuesday. This week’s notifications include Reminders

Reminders:

  • Rainbow Room located in the gym is open until Friday, August 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A lot of gently used uniforms are still available. We are also looking for a few volunteers for Monday, August 21st to help put the uniforms back in the Rainbow Room.
  • Parent Meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Our format includes an initial group meeting to receive information regarding the school. Parents are then invited to tour the classrooms. In order to make the first day easier, parents may drop off school supplies before the meeting at 5:30 or after the general session.
  • First Day of School for Grades 1 – 8 is on Tuesday, August 29th.
  • Kindergarten Welcome Day is on Tuesday, August 29th. Please see your welcome letter for specific time.
  • First Day of School For Kindergarten is on Wednesday, August 30th .
  • Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten Welcome Days are on Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st. Please see your welcome letter for specific time.
  • First Day for Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten is on Tuesday, September 5th.

  • National Junior Honor Society: Student members of our National Junior Honor Society are collecting used cell phones to be recycled and donated to charity. Additionally, student members will be collecting donations for the Fairhaven Animal Shelter such as cat litter, cat/dog food/treats, blankets, pet toys and kennel supplies such as paper towels, wipes, bleach, etc. The collection boxes are located in the front foyer of Saint Joseph School and will remain there until June 1, 2017. Thank you for your anticipated support.
  • Stop & Shop A+ Program: Please remember to re-register for the A+ Program that Stop & Shop is offering. All you have to do is log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register on line or call 1-877-275-2758 to register your card. Saint Joseph School ID# 06183. If you have any questions or you would like us to register your card please contact Liz at 508-996-1983.
  • Big Hearted Books: Please remember to donate your used books to the Big Hearted Books Program. Just drop off used books in the Big Hearted Books container in the Staff Parking Lot and the school will benefit.
  • Labels for Education: Please keep sending in your Campbell’s Labels.
  • Box Tops: Please keep sending in your Box Tops.
  • Coke Rewards: You can now donate Coke Rewards points to our school from home. Create a “My Coke Rewards” account by going to www.mycokerewards.com. Enter codes and then click on donate; our school will come up when you search.

Welcome to the Take Home Tuesday. This week’s notifications include Reminders, 2017-2018 Calendar at a Glance, 2017-2018 Student Supply List, 2017 Summer Reading List, Cathedral Camp Open House Flyer and Paw Sox Catholic Night Flyer.

Reminders:

  • Yearbooks are still available, however there are only a few yearbooks left. The cost is $35.00.
  • Walkathon Summer Non-Uniform Week for students whose pledges were received by Friday, May 19th for Kindergarten – Grade 7 will be June 7th – June 13th. Students are allowed to wear shorts (appropriate length) and flip flops (PLEASE SEE DRESS CODE IN HANDBOOK) .
  • Field Day for Gr. 1 – Gr. 5 will be on Wednesday, June 7th after lunches. (Students who qualified for the Walkathon Non-Uniform may dress down but need to wear snickers.)
  • Filed Day for Pre-School and Kindergarten will be on Thursday, June 8th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (Students who qualified for the Walkathon Non-Uniform may dress down but need to wear snickers.)
  • 8th Grade Graduation is at St. Joseph Church on Friday, June 9th at 5:00 p.m.
  • Pre-School Stepping Up Ceremony is at the school on Monday, June 12th at 9:00 a.m.
  • Kindergarten Graduation is at the school on Monday, June 12th at 1:00 p.m.
  • Award Ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m.
  • Last Day of School is Tuesday, June 13th. DISMISSAL WILL BE AS FOLLOWING: Grades 1, 2 & 3 at 11:15 a.m., Grades 4 & 5 at 11:20 a.m., and Grades 6 & 7 at 11:30 a.m. Extended Care is not available.

Reminders:

Reminders:

  • Yearbooks are still available. Place your order by Friday, May 26th to make sure a copy is reserved for you. The cost is $35.00.
  • Walkathon Summer Non-Uniform Week for students whose pledges were received by Friday, May 19th for Grade 8 will be Wednesday, May 24th, Friday, May 26th, Tuesday, May 30th, Wednesday, May 31st and Thursday, June 1st and for Kindergarten – Grade 7 will be June 7th – June 13th.
